Lydia is a senior reporter at Schools Week. She has a special focus on Ofsted as well as on the teacher workforce, including teacher recruitment, training, retention, and wellbeing.

Lydia joined Schools Week in late 2024 after more than two years as a reporter at the Evening Standard (now the London Standard).

She began her career as a journalist in local news, working for KentOnline and its sister newspaper the Kentish Gazette, where she won a number of awards for her news investigations and features.
