Speak with Impact: Media Mastery for Education Leaders

With Catherine McDonald

In today’s fast-moving event-driven, media and social media landscape, anyone with an externally facing role needs media training. Failure to train and prepare for how you externally present yourself, your organisation and your expertise can result in mixed messages, under-confident performances and a failure to have the impact you deserve. It might even mean you decline the chance to speak out – meaning another individual from another organisation gets that opportunity instead.

January 15 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm GMT

This course is designed to help participants to excel on every stage, screen, and platform.

Join a small, personal group for this one-day course, led by Catherine McDonald, Director of Popping Orange Communications.

With limited numbers, you’ll benefit from targeted, one-on-one focus designed to help you excel on every stage, screen, and platform. Whether it’s presenting in a boardroom, leading a live event or appearing on a podcast, TV or radio – the way you present yourself matters. This course will give you the tools, confidence, and strategies to speak with clarity and authenticity, connect with your audience, and command attention.

You’ll learn how to craft compelling narratives around your expertise, project that expertise on camera or stage, and handle interviews with confidence – navigating challenging questions with poise. We’ll discuss body language, outfit choices, and the subtle media techniques that will help you present yourself and your expertise in the best way possible.

  • Why media training is important
  • Why, as a busy professional with a rammed schedule, should you make time to publicly engage?
  • What is best practice when preparing for an interview?
  • How do you successfully navigate an interview, stay on message and avoid the pitfalls?
  • How can you maximise your input after the interview?
  • 1 x audio interview plus feedback
  • 1 x on camera interview plus feedback
