The Festival of Education returned to Wellington College on 3 and 4 July 2025, and what a Festival it was. Marking the 15th Festival of Education, last year’s event was our biggest and boldest yet, welcoming more than 5,500 educators for two inspiring days of professional learning, collaboration and connection.
Across Wellington College’s beautiful grounds, educators from schools, colleges and across the wider sector came together to develop their practice, exchange ideas and re-energise their thinking. With over 300 sessions running across the two days, the programme offered something for everyone – spanning leadership, teaching and learning, wellbeing, inclusion, policy and the future of education. From intimate workshops to large-scale keynotes, the Festival once again lived up to its reputation for combining depth, diversity and warmth.
Attendees were inspired by an outstanding line-up of speakers, including Francesca Martinez, Jaz Ampaw-Farr, Sebastian Foulkes, TJ Power, Suzi Ruffell and Chloe Combi, alongside hundreds of practitioners and sector leaders sharing ideas grounded in evidence and experience. The Festival closed on a real high with an inspiring and deeply memorable keynote from Sir Lenny Henry, sending delegates home energised and reflective.

Their presence added richness to the programme and created valuable opportunities for conversation, collaboration and innovation throughout the event.
As we look back on an extraordinary 15th Festival, we’re already excited for what comes next. We’re delighted to confirm that the 16th Festival of Education will return to Wellington College on 2 and 3 July 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome educators back for another two days of learning, inspiration and connection.
