This qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirement to practice as assessors.
This qualification will begin commence on Thursday 07 May 2026 at 10:00-12:30 with a 2.5-hour online study session, followed by two further online sessions to include an tutorial workshop and continuous support and collaboration via our EduScape platform.
Entry Guidance
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, learners will complete an initial assessment of their personal skills in English, mathematics and ICT.
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19+.
Mode of Delivery
The qualification content will be delivered online over 3 weeks in a supportive group environment.
Progression Opportunities
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment as an assessor or onto further qualifications such as:
• IAO Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
• IAO Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

We expect you to complete this course within 12 months, although most learners complete it within 3-6 months.
