A Landmark Moment for the Apprenticeships and Training Conference

The Apprenticeships and Training Conference finds it's new home in Liverpool.

March 2025 marked a significant milestone for the Apprenticeships and Training Conference, as the event successfully arrived in Liverpool for the very first time. Having previously been held in Birmingham, the move to Liverpool proved to be an outstanding success, with the two-day conference welcoming a record-breaking number of delegates from across the apprenticeships, skills and training sector.

Hosted at the ACC Liverpool, the conference brought together senior leaders, practitioners, employers and policymakers for two packed days of discussion, debate and inspiration. Delegates heard directly from government officials on the future direction of skills policy, alongside practical insights from those delivering apprenticeships and training on the ground.

The conference programme was complemented by a series of standout keynote sessions that left a lasting impression on attendees. Delegates were inspired by TJ PowerRory Sutherland and Sam McAlister, among many others, each bringing a distinctive perspective that challenged thinking and sparked conversation well beyond the conference halls.

2025 also saw the launch of the Employer Summit, a new and important addition to ATC. Running alongside the main conference, the summit brought together some of the UK’s largest employers to focus on skills strategy, workforce development and the role employers play in shaping an effective apprenticeships system. The summit was widely welcomed and will form a core part of future conferences.

The success of the event was made possible with the support of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, whose backing helped to make Liverpool a fantastic new home for the conference.

With record attendance, strong engagement and overwhelmingly positive feedback, the move to Liverpool has set a new benchmark for the Apprenticeships and Training Conference. We’re already looking ahead with excitement and are delighted to confirm that ATC will return to Liverpool on 2 and 3 March 2026.
