Aims and Objectives
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification. It is suitable for a wide range of trainee teachers, including those who are not yet teaching or training, those who are currently delivering training, and assessors who would like to gain a recognised qualification that introduces them to teaching.
The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment and to support their progression into a teaching role within the workplace.
Entry Guidance
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, there is a requirement to carry out an initial assessment of a trainee teacher’s personal skills in English, mathematics and ICT.
This qualification is suitable for Learners aged 19+.
Mode of Delivery
Open cohorts will be advertised throughout the academic year on our ESTE website for booking and delivered online in a supportive group environment. Cohorts designed to meet organisational needs can be delivered in person, online or hybrid through a flexible and accessible approach.

Learners who complete this qualification may go on to further study in related areas such as:
