This qualification is designed for individuals who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in settings outside the workplace, such as workshops, classrooms, or other training environments.
The qualification is assessed through the submission of a portfolio of evidence, allowing learners to demonstrate their competence across a range of assessment practices.
This course will begin on Thursday 14 May 2025, 10:00–12:30, with a 2.5-hour online session. This will be followed by further online classes and tutorial workshops, along with continuous support and collaboration through our EduScape platform.
Entry Guidance
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. It is suitable for individuals who work within the assessing sector and provides an opportunity to demonstrate competence across a wide range of job roles.
Mode of Delivery
The qualification content will be delivered online through a flexible and accessible approach in a supportive group environment.
Progression Opportunities
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment in the assessing sector or to further learning, such as:
• IAO Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes
• IAO Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices
Course Duration
We expect you to complete this course within 12 months, although most learners complete it within 6–9 months.
