About

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification designed for individuals who want to begin a career in teaching or training. It is suitable for a wide range of trainee teachers, including those who are not yet teaching, those currently delivering training, and assessors who would like to gain a recognised qualification that introduces them to teaching.

The qualification aims to prepare learners for employment and support progression into a teaching or training role within the workplace.

Our delivery team is widely recognised for raising standards in teaching, learning and assessment across the sector. With extensive experience in leadership, quality improvement, and frontline practice, we support providers to strengthen provision, improve outcomes, and embed a culture of excellence.

This qualification will begin through online study on Thursday 23 April 2026 at 15:00-18:00 and be followed by further online delivery, tutorial workshops, online microteaches, plus continuous support and collaboration via our EduScape platform. 

Entry Guidance
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, learners will complete an initial assessment of their personal skills in English, mathematics and ICT.

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19+.

Mode of Delivery
The qualification will be delivered online over 12 weeks.

Progression Opportunities
Learners who complete this qualification may go on to further study in related areas such as:

• IAO Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
• Assessor and Verifier Qualifications

Course Duration
We expect you to complete this course within 12 months, although most learners complete it within 4–6 months.
