Practical Strategies for Developing Powerful Change Conversations

With Dr Alison Scott

Designed to help address low resilience in both staff and learners, this session focuses on Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) to improve communication, challenge limiting beliefs, and foster a more positive and motivated environment enabling learning and resilience to flourish.

January 28 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm GMT

Why attend?

In today’s challenging world, educators are facing unprecedented hurdles. Teachers are working harder than ever to instil good learning habits, while managers spend valuable time supporting staff who have low resilience.

The long-term impacts of social media, Covid and global uncertainties have created a perfect storm, leading to low resilience in staff and a worrying trend of stress and unhappiness in young people.

We know that a feeling of hopelessness and dreams that are unrealistic can block progress and prevent the development of positive mindsets. So, how can we create new narratives that inspire hope in young people and give educators the strategies to strengthen resilience?

What to expect?

This session offers a breakthrough by utilising Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). Defined as the “art and science of personal excellence” and used by individuals and businesses across the globe to overcome fears and achieve more, NLP provides practical tools for creating emotionally intelligent conversations and fostering positive change.

This session will show you how to apply these techniques with integrity in your work, helping move staff and young people from an unsatisfactory state to them being able to achieve a successful outcome.

What you’ll learn:

  • Build Rapport: Explore the sensory awareness and flexible behaviours needed for effective communication and change.

  • Change Limiting Beliefs: Understand the strong connection between beliefs and positive outcomes, learning how to challenge self-limiting beliefs.

  • Master Language: Practice powerful questioning and positive framing to challenge unhelpful assumptions.

Who should attend?

If you are a teacher, leader, manager or member of support staff keen to try a new approach, this session is for you.

Break free from the negative cycles of self-criticism, eroded self-belief, and passive compliance. This training will help you enter a virtuous circle of self-belief and committed, values-driven motivation, enabling you to achieve the outcomes you desire—both for yourself and your learners.
