Psychological Safety for Staff and Students

June 10 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

£222

In this everchanging modern world, filled with uncertainty, change is the only constant. In these uncertain times, there is a significant need for leaders, tutors, teacher’ and students to identify personal strategies for their own psychological and physical wellbeing and be able to promote these behaviours across the wider organisation and in their lives. This can only happen if organisations create psychologically safe places.

What exactly is psychological safety?

It’s a term that’s used a lot but is often misunderstood. Psychosocial safety focusses on identifying, and removing or minimizing, factors in the workplace (psychosocial hazards) that have the potential to cause psychological harm. Psychosocial hazards can contribute to stress, which if severe and/or sustained, can result in a psychological injury or impact a persons’ mental health and overall wellbeing. In this training piece, we answer the following questions and cover key topics:

  1. What is psychological safety and why is important to leaders, staff and organisations?
  2. How do you know if already exists within your team or organisation?
  3. What is the impact leadership roles have on psychological wellbeing of self and others?
  4. How do you develop own psychological wellbeing?
  5. How do you support the psychological wellbeing of others?
  6. What are the steps to building a psychological safe environment for staff and students
  7. What are common misconceptions?

The Psychological Safety for Staff and Students course has been designed to equip leaders and education staff with the practical skills, techniques and tools to perform more resiliently and support employees and students more effectively through ensuring psychologically healthier and safer environments for healthier happier lives and minds.

Participants taking part in the course are also able to purchase Kim’s widely recognised publication ‘8Wise Ways to Happier Mental Health‘ as part of their package by selecting the appropriate ticket option.
